Reporting to: Fixing Foreman

Industry Sectors: Manufacturing, Concrete Pre-cast Products

Main Responsibilities:

  • Installation of our concrete stairs / beams/ hollow core / bespoke products in a safe and professional manner to the highest standard. Following our Risk assessment method statement
  • Reading Milbank designs and installing products accordingly.
  • Operate lifting equipment and perform slinging/signalling duties. (if qualified)
  • Carry out grouting, joint sealing, finishing works & cutting.
  • Follow health & safety regulations and participate in toolbox talks.
  • Work in a gang under a Fixing Foreman.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and adhering to environmental best practices.
  • Offloading delivery vehicles.
  • Working with mobile and tower cranes
  • Being pro-active with Health and Safety whilst on site.
  • To demonstrate and maintain a positive “can-do” approach to all aspects of the role.
  • Representing Milbank whilst on sites.
  • Assist the foreman in the daily task, including setting up of crane, prestart inspections, completion checks.

Key Responsibilies:

  • Adopt and demonstrate a positive and proactive approach to all Health & Safety matters.
  • Conduct regular on-site safety audit
  • Provide and support a day-to-day culture, that leads to the growth in skills and capability across the team.
  • Contribute to the in-house training and performance KPI system.

Skills:

  • UK driving licence will be essential.
  • Experience working with cranes is ideal but not required.
  • Practical problem-solving skills will be essential to the role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills will be required in all aspects of the role.
  • A confident and professional manner.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CSCS or CPCS card – desirable
  • Understanding of the precast concrete or construction industry (preferred).
  • UK driving licence not essential but desirable.
  • Completing regular CPD or training to improve your skill set.
