From Cluttered Corners to Charged & Ready: Supporting Great Tey Primary School

Milbank Concrete Products has proudly supported Great Tey C of E (VC) Primary School with a donation of new technology equipment as part of its ongoing community outreach programme.

Following direct discussions with the school to understand where support would be most valuable, Milbank funded a new laptop charging trolley along with two additional laptops for the Sparrows (Year 1/2) classroom. Prior to the donation, laptops had to be stacked untidily on a table, making storage and charging difficult. The new trolley now allows pupils to store devices safely, keep the classroom organised, and charge laptops easily and efficiently.

The addition of two new laptops has also helped ensure all phonics groups can access the digital resources they need, supporting learning across the classroom.

Lucy Overton, Headteacher at Great Tey C of E (VC) Primary School, said:

“Thank you so much for donating the funds for a new laptop trolley and two new laptops. The laptop trolley is a fantastic addition to our Sparrows classroom, where laptops had to be piled up in a corner.

The Y1/2 children were really looking forward to being ‘grown-up’ and putting their laptops away in a proper charging trolley like the older children do. The two new laptops are also a fabulous help. The laptop trolley is fabulous, thank you –it’s a lot tidier and easier to use.”

Milbank Concrete Products has been donating 2% of its profits to local causes since 2023, with a focus on supporting education, community facilities, and initiatives that create a lasting positive impact in the areas where it operates.
