Supporting Grassroots Football: Milbank Sponsors Eynesbury Rovers U12

As part of our ongoing Community Outreach Programme, we’re proud to announce our sponsorship of a brand-new U12 boys football team, Eynesbury Rovers. The team was set up by one of our very own employees, Craig Barnett, and we were delighted to step in and support their exciting first season.

To get the team kitted out, Milbank provided both home and away strips along with a new advertising sign at their home pitch. At their very first home game on 20th September, the boys took to the field in their vibrant new yellow kit – which, according to Craig, is already a firm favourite among the players.

The reaction has been fantastic. The squad not only looked the part but also started the season in style. With an unbeaten run so far – scoring 21 goals and conceding just 4 – the team is off to a flying start.

Alongside the kit, the lads proudly unveiled their new Milbank banner, now displayed on the advertising boards around the first-team pitch. It’s been brilliant to see how much it means to the players, coaches, and supporters to have local businesses backing their journey.

Craig summed it up perfectly:

“Many thanks to you and everyone who was involved in getting this sorted out for us, we all really appreciate it.”

Building Community Connections

Sponsoring Eynesbury Rovers U12 is a great example of this in action. By backing a team that began with one of our colleagues, we’re not only helping young players build confidence and teamwork skills, but also strengthening the bond between Milbank and the wider community.
